Our History

Dr. Barry St. Clair founded Reach Out in 1977, in response to the overwhelming need to raise up leaders in the younger generation.  Through Reach Out, Barry has developed Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry, a practical, biblical strategy for equipping youth leaders.  With this strategy, Reach Out has developed equipping teams in over thirty countries around the world. With a vision for equipping parents, Barry has created Parent Fuel, a powerful set of resources that equip parents to fuel a fire for Christ in their kids.

Our Strategy

Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry and Parent Fuel offers a duel strategy that equips and multiplies all of a church’s younger generation ministries.

Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry produces life-change and equips life-changers through you. This Jesus-focused approach gives pastors, youth leaders, children’s ministers, volunteers, parents and students a common vision of Jesus and His ministry, enabling you to:

• Go deeper in intimacy with Christ

• Pray with passion for God’s presence and power

• Build leaders for in-depth and long-term ministry

• Disciple students to move toward maturity in Christ

• Penetrate the culture through relationships

• Create outreach opportunities to reach students for Christ

Parent Fuel equips parents to love God with all their hearts and to lead their kids to do the same. These resources and training provide parents, churches, and small group leaders every tool and strategy necessary to equip parents to practically pursue God’s parenting purpose. It leads parents through their own discipleship process and gives them all they need to disciple their kids and their kids’ friends. Parent Fuel is designed to multiply small groups of parents throughout the church and community.

Our Values

We honor Jesus Christ because we believe that He is the ultimate answer to life and that He alone produces fruit in ministry.  He causes life change and raises up life-changers.  We desire to know His plans through prayer and then obey them.

We excel in equipping because we believe that the church needs leaders for the younger generation.  We do this through quality training, encouragement, challenge and counsel.  We desire to model and communicate excellence in equipping in order to increase the youth leader's ministry effectiveness.  

We lead by serving because we believe this follows Jesus' model of effective leadership.  We desire to offer this leadership at every level of our ministry and to serve everyone who comes in contact with our ministry.

We relate with integrity because we believe that people are our most valuable resource.  We desire to encourage honest, accountable and loyal relationships that allow the deepest and richest communication.

We hold high ethical standards because we believe that our character determines our faithfulness.  We desire to conduct our finances, morality and conversation in a biblical manner that will enhance the reputation of the Kingdom of God.  

We maximize resources because we believe that God has entrusted us with His human and financial assets.  We desire to use those resources for His glory by prioritizing our ministry plans and operating our ministry within the limits of our resources.  

Our Statement of Faith

Reach Out Youth Solutions believes:

• In One God, eternally existing in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• In Jesus Christ, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He led a sinless life, took on Himself all our sins, died, rose again, and is seated at the right hand of the Father as our mediator and advocate.
• The Bible is the infallible Word of God, holy and inspired, and that it is of supreme and final authority.
• All men everywhere are lost face the judgment of God and need to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through His shed blood on the cross.
• Christ rose from the dead, reigns supreme at the Father's right hand and is coming soon.
• The Holy Spirit gives us the grace and power to live the Christian life.
• All believers are called to live by the Great Commandment and the Great Commission in order that our lives bear fruit, care for the needs of people, reflect Christ and ultimately give glory to God.
